Most tagging vendors come from printing or from pure software. We come from both sides of the actual problem: textile label production and structured product data.
Roportier grew out of a European machine-embroidery and textile label workshop — the unglamorous, exacting world of thread tensions, stitch densities and wash tests. When the EU's Digital Product Passport direction became clear, we saw the two halves of the problem plainly: brands would need a physical carrier durable enough to outlive the garment, and a digital system disciplined enough to satisfy a regulator.
So we built both as one service. Our labels are engineered on the fabric, scan-tested through wash cycles, and encoded in-house. Our passport pages are fast, structured around the EU's published data direction, and hosted in the EU with clean export paths — your data is never hostage.
We work with fashion, textile and accessories brands across Europe — from ambitious independents preparing their first structured product data, to larger houses piloting item-level identity for resale and anti-counterfeit programmes.
Durability is the product
A passport link that dies in the wash is worse than none. Everything we make is built to be readable on the day the garment is finally recycled.
